Frequently Asked Questions

High Deductible Plan FAQs

  • What is an Access2day Health clinic?
A high-quality TSHBP-sponsored primary care clinic arrangement that provides quality patient care for primary, preventive, and wellness care services.
  • Who are the Access2day Health clinicians?
They are local physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants currently practicing in your community. Access2day Health and TSHBP have arranged a special membership for employees at all Access2day Health locations.
  • How much will I have to pay for services at Access2day Health?
You will not pay for any preventive care at an Access2day Health clinic. You will pay a $65 fee for non-preventive care because you are on an HSA eligible plan. Due to IRS regulations, HSA eligible plan members must pay a minimal visit fee or fair market value for non-preventive care. This fee will be applied to your deductible and is considerably less than the cost for similar services at a specialist office, urgent care or emergency room.
  • Who can be treated at Access2day Health?
Any employee, spouse or child that is on the Beaumont ISD TSHBP high deductible plan. Check each location using the Access2day Health mobile app or website as some locations serve different age groups.
  • When is Access2day Health open?
Hours vary by clinic location. Use our mobile app or website (www.Access2dayhealth.com) for locations and hours of service.
  • Do I need an appointment?
You do NOT need an appointment; however, scheduled appointments can be made if you desire.
  • What do I need to take with me to the Access2day Health clinic?
You will need to take your Access2day Health membership card and your health insurance card.
  • How do I find the nearest clinic location and hours?
The best way is to download the Access2day Health mobile app, which lists all Access2day Health clinic locations, automatically directs you to the closest clinic, and provides each clinic’s business hours and all other relevant information. You can also visit www.Access2dayhealth.com or call Access2day Health customer service during normal business hours at 800.797.9503. Members have access to any of the Access2day Health locations.
  • Can I take my infants and young children to Access2day Health clinics?
Ages treated vary by clinic location. Check the mobile app or website to confirm ages treated. You may also contact customer service for that information.
  • Which conditions are treated at Access2day Health?
Access2day Health’s clinicians provide primary, preventive and wellness care. They perform a clinical assessment and provide quality patient care. If a prescription is required after your assessment, the provider can write a prescription for your diagnosis.
  • Which tests or screenings are available at Access2day Health?
Access2day Health clinics offer basic lab and x-ray services. You can receive most common blood tests, including, but not limited to, screenings for cholesterol, blood sugar, liver and kidney function, thyroid function, and prostatic specific antigen (PSA).
  • What preventive services are provided?
Access2day Health clinicians provide a broad range of preventive services, including blood screening tests, immunizations, and basic physical exams.
  • How do I sign up?
There is no need to sign up. Any employee and dependent on the Beaumont ISD TSHBP high deductible plan is already enrolled and has access to the Access2day Health clinics. No further enrollment is necessary.
  • Is Access2day Health part of my health insurance plan?
No. Access2day Health is a clinic membership provided at no cost to you by TSHBP. It is not insurance. However, you will need to present your health insurance card along with your Access2day Health membership card when you arrive at the clinic.
  • Can Access2day Health clinicians give prescriptions for routine or minor conditions?
Yes, the providers can prescribe medications for your condition if they feel it is necessary after performing an assessment.
  • What is a chronic disease and is it included?
You can use Access2day Health for primary care and urgent care services including preventative and wellness care, even if you are being treated for a chronic disease by another physician.
  • Does this mean I have to change my primary care doctor?
No, but for all non-Access2day Health physicians, normal copays, deductibles, and out-of-pockets will apply.
  • Will they fill my prescription at the clinic?
Access2day Health is not a free-standing pharmacy. However, Access2day Health clinicians can prescribe medications for your condition if they feel it is necessary after performing an assessment. Although you can fill your prescription at a local pharmacy of your choice, some Access2day Health locations contain pharmacies for your convenience.
  • Can lab orders from other physicians be done at Access2day Health clinics?
No. Access2day Health is not a free-standing lab. After assessment, Access2day Health clinicians perform only “in-house” labs.
